Getting to Salzburg
Fly, drive or catch a train - getting to Salzburg is easy!

Salzburg's Airport (SZG) is named after its favourite son - W. A. Mozart - and is located only 3km (2 miles) southwest of the city center.
The airport is connected to all major European destinations by regular services, including daily flights direct from London's Stansted airport.
Bus No.2 runs to and from the airport to Salzburg's main rail station
- departing Monday to Saturday every 15 mins
- departing Sunday and public holidays every 30 mins
Travel time is approximately 20 mins.
Taxis can be found outside the airport terminal.
It takes approximately 15 mins to drive to the city centre.
By Car
Getting to Salzburg by car is simple - lots of good roads with good signage on the way!

Parking
There are plenty of public parking lots in the city centre.
Look for the large ‘P’ sign.
For ease and convenience, it is better to park your car on the left bank of the Salzach River. From there, the 'old town' is only a five minute wander and you can enjoy the shops, cafes and side streets on the way!
By Train
Taking a train to Salzburg is a great way to arrive!
Salzburg's main train station is called the 'Hauptbahnhof' - located at Südtirolerplatz.
It is serviced by trains from all major destinations in Europe, including by IC (InterCity) and EC (EuroCity) trains.
From Germany - express ICE trains run from Munich every 30 minutes. Ride time - 90 minutes.
From Vienna - frequent daily services. Ride time - approximately 3 hours.
Buses depart from the main train station regularly to the city centre. Ride time - 20 minutes
